Technology leap by rotor and stator tooling

topicIcon Standard Parts

The market for e-mobility is growing very rapidly. The central components of the electric motor are the rotor and the stator, which are made of many individual metal sheets.

The optimization of the motor efficiency requires the reduction of the sheet thickness, which makes manufacturing of narrower cutting gaps essential. This necessitates more rigid guides of highest precision. To keep the production time constant with reduced sheet thickness, higher stroke numbers (lifespan) and stroke frequencies are necessary. A regular maintenance requires guide elements which have no loss in accuracy even during repeated installation and removal.

For these challenges in the field of rotor-stator tools, Agathon offers optimized solutions. Models for stroke frequencies up to 2500 strokes/min are available. The standard bearing roller steel 100Cr6 (1.3505) provides the best conditions for long lifespan and low production costs. Many guide systems are available from stock, or are specifically designed and manufactured for your application. Do you need cutting gaps of a few μm? Please contact normalien@agathon.ch
