Presented for the first time in 2019 as a prototype, Agathon's Evo Quinto is now in the final phase of its development. The market launch of this innovative 5-axis grinding center will take place as early as spring 2022. Thanks to the new A-axis, the machine offers a wide range of applications, especially for complex geometries. It is compatible with all existing hardware and software options of the Evo platform.

The reason for that is the new Evo Quinto grinding machine.
Its outstanding feature is the freedom of movement of the fifth axis. The A axis swivels continuously in the range from -51 to +236 degrees. This puts future users in the comfortable situation of being able to machine parts with complex geometries. For example, machining grooving inserts from three sides completely on the circumference, radius and with chipbreakers in one setup.
The new A-axis enables a significantly larger and continuous swivel range.
Tangential grinding is possible on both sides of the grinding rim. Thus, machining from all sides is possible.
One set-up means high precision, productivity and autonomy.
Also on the Evo Quinto, the high-precision, integrated thickness measurement and a fast IC measuring probe ensure enormous time savings.
